Programs and partners

Add partners or publish a signup page

A partner is a person or business that earns rewards. Add partners yourself or let them join through a published program page.

Add a partner yourself

  1. Open Partners, then Add partner.
  2. Enter Partner name and Email. Your partner ID is optional. Enter a stable partner or store ID from your business records if you have one. Leave it empty and Grizzlee makes one. It can't be changed later.
  3. In Linked customer IDs, enter the partner's own customer IDs, one per line. For a store, enter its owner's customer ID. Ask your developer which ID your checkout reports if you are unsure.
  4. Under Programs, select the programs they should join.
  5. Choose Add partner to save.

Creating a partner record enrolls them in the selected programs. It does not grant access to your merchant dashboard. Open a partner's details and choose Edit partner to update their programs or change their Status to Paused.

Clear Linked customer IDs to remove the links. Your partner ID does not identify self-referral. The program's Fraud checks level decides whether linked purchases and matching identity signals block or pass with the checks off.

Partners in a discount program need Linked customer IDs to use earned offers at your checkout. They can earn and see offers without these links, but checkout cannot find the offers until you add an ID. Linking or unlinking takes effect at the next lookup. A paused partner cannot use offers. Pausing the program or removing the partner from it leaves offers already earned usable.

Let partners sign up

An owner or admin opens Settings, then Partner pages, and fills in Program signup page.

  1. Select the Program.
  2. Check the Web address, which starts from the program name, then write the Title and Description partners will see.
  3. Set Referral destination to the page customers should visit, such as your shop or checkout. It starts with the page set under Where should the link send people? in the program. Partner links for this program use the page's destination while the page is published.
  4. Leave Publish this page checked and choose Save page.
  5. Copy the Page URL and share it with prospective partners.

The page shows your company name and the logo from the Brand card under Settings, then Business details. Partners choose Join program. Someone who isn't signed in goes to Partner login, which shows the same name and logo. They sign in, or choose Create account and confirm their email. Grizzlee then brings them back to your page, adds them to the program and opens their partner portal. They don't have to choose Join program a second time.

If a partner confirms their email on another phone or computer, they land on your page signed in and choose Join program once more. If the join fails, for example because their partner profile is paused, the page says why. Partner login has no link to merchant setup, so a partner never sees Tell us about your company. Partners who come back later sign in at app.grizzlee.ca/portal/sign-in.

After signup, link their merchant customer IDs through Edit partner. Their Grizzlee login ID does not identify their merchant customer account. The signup page is a partner invitation, so share it with the people you want to recruit. Give customers the partner's referral link instead.

Uncheck Publish this page and save to stop accepting signups through that page. To stop new earnings in the program, use its Active switch. These settings do different jobs.

What partners see in the portal

The partner portal opens with your company name and logo, and its buttons use your Primary color. Each program the partner belongs to reads "Share this link, earn" followed by the reward, with the referral link and a copy button. Programs that allow QR codes show the QR code next to it, and any referral or promo codes appear below.

Link clicks and QR scans counts visits, and Referrals lists the partner's 20 newest referred customers with their status. Earnings show only the balances the partner's programs pay, Cash, Store credit or both. A balance from an earlier program stays until it reaches zero. Discount programs list earned offers under Your discounts.

Check partner activity

Search for a partner under Partners and open their details. Long lists show 200 partners at a time, and the pager below says which ones you're seeing. While you search, it shows the range without a total. Link clicks and QR scans shows visits. Program totals separates the partner's earnings and referrals by program.

Orders referred counts orders that earned this partner a reward in the program, across all their referrals. Orders that earned nothing and milestone rewards do not count. Refunds do not lower the count. Former programs keep their totals. The partner's embedded dashboard shows the same total.

A click is not a completed purchase. Partners earn only when the customer action meets the program's rules. Troubleshooting explains how to check missing rewards.

Share a partner's codes

Choose a Program in the partner's details. Referral code identifies the partner, while Provider promo codes carry discounts in Stripe or Shopify. The program's tracking switches control which methods partners can share. The partner portal and embedded dashboard show available codes too. Sharing partner codes explains creation, renaming and deactivation.

Invite staff separately

Use Invite teammate in Settings, then Team, for staff who need merchant dashboard access. A team invitation does not enroll someone as a partner. See team access.

Erase a deleted account

Open the partner's details and choose Erase personal data. Grizzlee removes the partner's personal data, identity signals and customer ID links. Linked customer records stay. The partner cannot earn again. Orders, earned rewards, payouts and ledger entries stay.

Grizzlee also removes locally stored promo code names. Stripe and Shopify keep their copies. Deactivate those discounts through Grizzlee or your provider, and remove names from the provider's records there.

Grizzlee suppresses the partner's identity signals from later reports. Ask your developer to erase customer records separately when those customers delete their accounts. After customer erasure, late reports still count under the program rules, but Grizzlee discards their identity signals, customer emails, display names and personal reasons. Your integration does not need to erase again after queued reports arrive.

Customer display names in the embedded dashboard are personal data. Ask your developer to call customer erasure when deleting a referred customer. It clears names from referrals, orders and cached claims. Later reports cannot restore the name. Earned rewards and ledger entries stay.
